Crewmate’s Survival Guide in Among Us

As a Crewmate in Among Us, your goals are to complete tasks and find the Impostors before they eliminate everyone. Here’s how to survive and win:

1. Learn Your Tasks & Maps:

  • Familiarize yourself: Play Freeplay mode to learn task locations and map layouts (especially security cameras, Admin table, and vitals).
  • Do tasks efficiently: Group nearby tasks to save time and reduce vulnerability.
  • Identify Visual Tasks: Tasks like “MedBay Scan” or “Empty Trash” have visible animations. If you see someone doing these, they are 100% a Crewmate. Use this as proof in meetings!

2. Observe EVERYTHING:

  • Vents: ONLY Impostors can use vents. If you see someone enter or exit a vent, immediately report them! This is undeniable proof.
  • Body Locations: Who was last seen near a body? Impostors often “self-report” kills.
  • “Fake Tasking”: Impostors pretend to do tasks. If someone stands over a task that isn’t on your list, or if their task bar doesn’t progress, be suspicious.
  • Sabotage Reactions: How quickly do players react to sabotages (especially critical ones like O2 or Reactor)? Do they seem to ignore them?
  • Admin Table (Crewmate Tracking): On some maps, the Admin table shows how many players are in each room. Sudden changes in room count without someone visibly entering/leaving could mean venting.
  • Security Cameras: Use cameras (on Skeld/Polus) to watch for kills or vents.

3. Communicate Effectively in Meetings:

  • Be Clear: When you report, state who, what, and where (e.g., “Body in Electrical, Red was near it”).
  • Provide Alibis: If accused, immediately explain where you were and who you were with. Ask others for theirs.
  • Spot Lies: Impostors often contradict themselves or give vague alibis. Listen for inconsistencies.
  • Vote Smartly: Don’t vote without good evidence. If unsure, Skip Vote is usually safer than ejecting an innocent Crewmate.

4. Stay Vigilant:

  • Stick Together (Cautiously): Grouping can offer safety but makes it harder to observe individuals. Be wary of small groups where one person might be an Impostor.
  • Respond to Critical Sabotages: Always rush to fix O2 or Reactor sabotages to prevent an Impostor victory.

Being a good Crewmate means being a detective, task-doer, and effective communicator, all while navigating a web of lies!
