CarX Street: Mastering Customization and Tuning

In CarX Street, simply buying cars isn’t enough. The real skill comes from customizing and tuning them to perfection. This guide will help you understand how to make your cars perform their best for any race!

1. Car Classes and Performance Points (PP):

  • Every car has a Car Class (like A, B, C) and a Performance Point (PP) rating.
  • Upgrading your car increases its PP.
  • Some races require cars of a specific class, so you’ll need to upgrade strategically to fit those requirements.

2. Key Performance Upgrades: These are the basics to make your car faster and handle better:

  • Engine: Boosts horsepower for more speed and faster acceleration.
  • Transmission: Improves gear shifting and helps with top speed.
  • Suspension: Affects handling and stability in turns.
  • Tires: Crucial for grip (how well your tires stick to the road) and traction (acceleration from a stop). Different tire types (Street, Sport, Race, Drift) are for different events.
  • Brakes: Shorter stopping distances and better control when braking.
  • Turbo/Supercharger: Adds a big power boost.

3. Fine-Tuning: Advanced Adjustments: Once you’ve upgraded parts, you can fine-tune them for precise control. This is where the pros make their cars shine!

  • Engine/Transmission:
    • Gear Ratios: Adjust how quickly your car speeds up in each gear or how high its top speed is.
    • Differential Lock: Controls how power is sent to your wheels. Good for specific drift setups.
  • Suspension:
    • Ride Height: Lowering makes the car more stable in turns.
    • Spring Stiffness: Controls how much the car rolls in turns.
    • Camber Angle: Tilts the wheels for better cornering grip.
    • Anti-Roll Bars: Also helps reduce body roll.
  • Brakes:
    • Brake Balance: Adjusts braking power between front and rear wheels.
  • Tires:
    • Tire Pressure: Affects grip and how responsive your car feels.

4. How to Tune Your Car (Trial and Error!): Tuning is a process of testing and adjusting:

  1. Know Your Goal: Are you tuning for drifting, grip racing, or just all-around performance?
  2. Change One Thing at a Time: Make a small adjustment to just one setting.
  3. Test It: Take your car for a drive or race to see how the change affects it.
  4. Adjust: If it’s not perfect, change it again.
  5. Save Setups: You can save different tuning setups for the same car, for example, one for drifting and one for racing.

Why Tuning Matters: A perfectly tuned car can often beat a more powerful, but badly tuned, car. It lets you create a car that feels perfect for your driving style and for specific races, giving you a major edge!
