Genshin Impact: Advanced Combat & Exploration Tips!

Genshin Impact is more than just a pretty game; it has deep combat and lots of secrets hidden in its vast world! To get really good, you need to go beyond just hitting buttons and learn some advanced tricks.

1. Master Elemental Reactions: It’s All About Teamwork!

You already know about basic elemental reactions, but here’s how to use them like a pro:

  • Think About Roles: Each character has a role.
    • Main DPS: Your main damage dealer (e.g., a character who uses a lot of normal attacks or has a strong Elemental Burst).
    • Support: Heals or shields your team.
    • Sub-DPS: Deals damage even when they’re not on the field.
    • Enabler: Applies an element quickly for others to react with.
  • Optimize Your “Rotation”: This means knowing the best order to use your characters’ skills and bursts.
    1. Start by applying an element (e.g., Hydro).
    2. Switch to another character to trigger a reaction (e.g., Pyro for Vaporize).
    3. Use powerful “Elemental Bursts” (ultimate moves) when they’re ready.
    4. Then, switch back to your main damage dealer to finish enemies off.
    • Energy is Key: Elemental Bursts need energy! Use Elemental Skills often to generate energy particles for your whole team.
  • Crowd Control (CC): Use Anemo characters to pull enemies together (like a vacuum cleaner!) or Hydro + Cryo to freeze them solid. This makes it easier to hit many enemies at once.
  • New Dendro Reactions: Dendro (the plant element) has amazing new reactions:
    • Quicken (Dendro + Electro): Sets up enemies for boosted Electro or Dendro damage.
    • Bloom (Dendro + Hydro): Creates little cores that you can explode with Pyro (Burgeon) or Electro (Hyperbloom) for big damage!

2. Explore Teyvat Smartly!

The world is huge, so here’s how to get around faster and find more:

  • Manage Your Stamina: Climbing, sprinting, and gliding all use stamina (the yellow bar). If you’re climbing a super tall mountain, stop for a second every now and then to let stamina recover. Use food that reduces stamina use!
  • Unlock Teleports: Find every single “Teleport Waypoint” and “Statue of The Seven” (the big statues). They are your fast travel points and will save you tons of time.
  • Elemental Resonance for Exploring: If you have two characters of the same element in your team, you get a “Resonance” bonus. Two Anemo characters make you run and glide faster and use less stamina – perfect for exploring!
  • Treasure Compass: Get the “Treasure Compass” gadget (from reputation rewards in each region). It helps you find nearby treasure chests!
  • Look Everywhere: Always look up for floating islands, down for hidden caves, and behind waterfalls. Genshin loves to hide secrets!
  • Environmental Puzzles: Many puzzles need specific elements. If you see something glowing with an element, try hitting it with the matching element from your characters (e.g., a Pyro character for a fire puzzle).

3. Manage Your Resources:

To make your characters strong, you need to manage your resources:

  • Artifacts are Important: These are your gear pieces. Focus on getting the right main stats first (like Crit Rate, Elemental Damage, Energy Recharge). Later, you can worry about perfect sub-stats.
  • Spend Your Resin Wisely: “Original Resin” is limited. Use it to collect rewards from “Domains” (dungeons) and “World Bosses” for character materials, talent books, and artifacts.
  • Do Daily Quests & Events: Always do your “Daily Commissions” for Primogems. And always participate in time-limited events – they give amazing rewards, sometimes even free characters or weapons!
  • Spiral Abyss: This is a tough combat challenge that resets often. It’s great for testing your teams and getting lots of Primogems if you can beat it.

By using these advanced tips, you’ll be able to conquer harder challenges, explore Teyvat more efficiently, and make your characters super powerful in Genshin Impact!
